FAILURE TO REGISTER MOTOR VEHICLE (F.S. 320.02(1))

We took a methodical, litigation-first approach. By filing reciprocal discovery we forced an early exchange of evidence (including photo documentation of trailer registration and plates) that let us test the State’s theory and identify issues in the State’s case. That focused discovery created the leverage we needed to propose a structured resolution (a Deferred Prosecution Agreement) that protected the client’s record while addressing the State’s concerns. Because we showed the prosecutor the case facts clearly and demonstrated trial readiness backed by the discovery we produced and obtained, the Office of the State Attorney ultimately filed a NOLLE PROSEQUI (case dismissed) on May 7, 2025.
